Hope people expecting visitors or trying to get back to the UK aren't affected by this: Quote: BAA airport staff vote for strike action
Brian Boyd, Unite: "If strike action goes ahead, BAA faces total shutdown of six airports" Staff at six UK airports owned by BAA have voted three to one in favour of striking in a dispute over pay, their union says. Heathrow, Stansted, Southampton, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen airports would have to close if strikes went ahead, BAA said, as key staff such as firefighters were due to take part. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-10954851 |

LGW is not part of CAA anymore, neither Manchester or Newcastle so will not be affected unless they come out in sympathy with the others |

The threat of strike action now looks over as agreement seems likely. |
