Just a quick post to say that I am back in hospital tomorrow for further biopsies. I have been grateful to this site for being light-hearted and helping me to keep my mind off the tests I have had.

Hopefully I will be posting some good news and will have something conclusive this time round, and I want to thank those of you who have texted or pm'd me.

So if you are sending me pm's and I don't answer them - or give you a short answer - you now know why. Normal service will be resumed ASAP.

In Arduis Fidelis

I'm back. Sooner than I thought.

Got up at 4 a.m. to get there for 7 a.m. Was all consented and ready to get into my gown when the surgeon came to tell me that the machine that sterilises the equipment had broken down and they had been trying without success to fix it all night.

So I have to wait until the end of March to have the procedure as the surgeon is now out of the country all next month.

So more GF food for another month, but it is looking likely that this will be for life according to the surgeon. I have to double the medication, too, as I am still getting pain. As the cytology result wasn't forthcoming I was hoping that any signs of healing would confirm that there was nothing sinister going on. Now I have to wait another month.

So I am back on the site and will now catch up with all the posts. Hope my internet connection lasts long enough.

Thanks for the supportive messages. I will put them on the back burner for another month.

Tough times dont last long but tough people do

Thank you all. I have to say I have been in better humour.

Mandy, I could use a Cypriot hospital, but that means explaining all that has gone before and getting another surgeon involved in the process. Then I may get conflicting views, plus they won't know what my gut looked like initially. I can wait until the end of March, as there may be more healing taken place by then. I am just concerned that if it hasn't healed there may be something sinister and I will be looking at a serious scenario.

I will pick up. I have some good friends here and they keep me going. They will kick me up the backside if I get too miserable. And Imogen's opens again this weekend, so that is something to be cheerful about, even if I can't eat their delicious bread.

In the meantime I am feeling well, all things considered, and I am going back to work. I didn't ask whether this was advisable. I have just had enough of trying to keep myself amused whilst "resting".

Thanks for all the support. It lifts the spirit and makes me feel positive.

Well at least if you're in work, you'll be nearer the place you need to be if you don't feel well, instead of having to drive all the way into work

Just take it easy & I have a size 9 that is freely available

It will also keep you busy Verity and take your mind of things.
