yuk JGG whats that?? looks like dog poo. Mine would be almost same as Neils - a decent steak, chips, fried onions and mushrooms. I had that last night and it was fab, even though I had to make it myself. Spent entire day cooking lots of things: massive batch of meatballs(yes Alex, more meatballs and Ive got my apple crumble right! ) steak n veg pie scouse chinese beef(found a packet mix in cupboard but its surprisingly nice) sausages in onion gravy - thats for tomorrow with yummy mash. Just trying to do something similar to a Greggs steak bake and its in the oven now so if its a success I'll be doing them again... I think Ive an obsession with silver foil trays full of food in the freezer more so than the actual cooking but it saves time when I cant be bothered and I know Ive done it all from scratch so I know whats in them. Better go clean the kitchen up now and I definitely need to get out more!! x |

JGG We had the same on Burn's Night - Brian insists on it every Jan 25. Before the whisky this year we had some McEwans strong ale - and it must be something to do with getting older, but boy was I ill the next day! No more whisky chasers for me! Can't take it these days. Pam |

Hiya Dawn its bread that's flat and round 10/12 "quite a close texture and soft the only bread to have ham and peas (home made) pudding in -- a north east bread sometimes just called flat cake. Marj |

Ham and peas....blimey not had that for years! good old hamshank and dried mushy peas...mmm....not good for the old wind though I love braised steak 'n' onions and mash, and good old rag pudding. I also love a nice hot chilli, but daughter doesn't, so I dont have that very often. Wendy. |

Home made meat samosas and onion bhaji followed by chicken curry, rice, bombay potato, poppadums. Saying that I like everything I cook (unless I am having an off day ). Had home made steak and kidney pie, mash and veg last night, night before T-Bone steak, jacket potatoes, tomatoes, onion rings, baked beans - OH had garlic mushrooms as well - yum. |

Well I love haggis, neeps & tatties! (that pic is not typical of the dish, that one looks runny! But I would eat the whole lot!) My favourite has to be CF's Steak with sweet potatoes and green beans! Delicious. Y |

Pete, well there is no way I would even take a mouthful of anything that looked like JGG's picture. Alex - I am fat compared to what I used to be - all 7stone of me, now just under 9st, but I have lost it since getting the dogs as I take them out for about 45 minutes in the morning and evening and 20 minutes lunch time and night. That is why all my size 12 working suit trousers just fall off me. |

Roast rib of beef with all the trimmings. Nothing better. (and a cup of tea that is just tea - no perfumes or flavours added) Think I will have to join Alex on all those walks |

That's why I said 'Nato Standard' milk 2 sugars at the beginning, seems I misunderstood the meaning of 'Fave Tea' |

Type 1 = Builders but with sweetener these days, not sugar Type 2 = Roast lamb, mint sauce and gravy with gorgeous creamy potatoes, caramelised carrots and parsnips with some leeks and bacon on the side for good measure I enjoy haggis (but have only had it once or twice), also love faggots and peas, grey peas and bacon, oh and Hubs' coq au vin is the best I've ever had x |

I don't think i have a fixed favourite - varies according to my mood! Used to be a massive curry addict but it's so hard to get a decent one over here my cravings seems to have lessened - I think on balance, I would have to say you can't beat a good roast dinner, lamb with mint sauce and lashings of gravy being a strong personal favourite! |

For me - it has to be: Chicken Jalfrezi followed by Chicken Jalfrezi and then, Chicken Jalfrezi with a bit of er..... Chicken Jalfrezi Then, if there's any room left after that - I may just be able to squeeze in a bit of Bread & Butter pudding or maybe a little Lemon Meringue pie |
