Good morning everyone. I am back from Kent after taking Sam down before her flight out from Gatwick yesterday. Happily she landed last night and all is fine. Mia is on the countdown now and all she will be saying (as she did last night) is "how many more sleeps until we go to Cyprus Grandma?". So, today it is nine and are we counting? You bet we are.

I had a huge lump in my throat when I got the call from Sam saying "I'm going now Mum, they're calling my flight". Why did that happen when I know I will be seeing her again so soon? Maybe it is just the thought that this is the start of her new life and I pray that it will all work out for her.

I am waiting for her call today to get all the details, but I gather that Bubbles and Lollipop met her at the airport to help with the many suitcases which would NOT have fitted into the little car she had waiting at Paphos, so a big thanks to them from me as she was more worried about how she was going to cope with them all on her own than anything else. I am sure you will all be great neighbours.

I have been sat here since before 5 this morning as I couldn't sleep (again!!!!) catching up with the posts I have missed these last few days. Then it is back to the grindstone to catch up with the work. Still, I am running it down slowly now so that we can concentrate on the packing when I get back from my trip. At least I can see and end to it now.

So, nine more sleeps it is and then hopefully I can meet many of you lovely people in person, in between looking for somewhere to live that is

So glad to hear that Sam took off ok, and I am sure that Bubbles and Lollipop was there to meet her, otherwise you would have had another call to say they had not turned up!
I am sure Sam will call you soon.
Nine more sleeps to go, that will soon pass, and before you know it, you will be saying,'this is our first sleep here' and you will wonder where the time went!!

Aaaww Tina - I can feel that lump in my throat and you wait when you see her again in Cyprus. How the tears will flow.......

I cry when I see my kids on arrival and then again on departure. Guess thats part of being a parent.

Time will fly and before you know it you will be reunited again.

I know, I know. I have just spoken to Sam anyway and all is fine. She moves into her house tomorrow so she will be a busy bunny for a few days. At least I am not there to be roped into unpacking all those cases

I was just thinking to myself 'When is it that Sam will be here' & now is the answer, so glad she arrived safely & that some of our other members met her at the airport, that is fantastic news to know that our site has brought some members together, is a great achievement Just goes to show what a big family we truely are

I look forward to meeting you, Sam & Mia at the Taverna Club meeting if not before & if there's anything any of you need, please don't hesitate to let me know

Welcome back Tina

I have missed your postings. I feel as if I personally know you and Sam as you reflect so much about me and my daughter Emma.

I am in Cyprus now and if Sam needs any support just let me know as I am in Peyia.

Will be sadly returning on 15th March so will miss you and the taverna and coffee outings, but will be back in May if not before and hope to meet up with you both. Don't work too hard as you have one precious little girl to look after.

Glad Sam is there and will be busy sorting things out for Mia to join her. I rember when last Nov Sam asked on other site for advice on moving , and was more or less told it was a bad move.
I said to go for it, she has help from mum ect. So i too have felt part of her story, Hope to meet you all in the sun.

I'm just gonna sit at a table near the door & welcome everyone as they come in At the Launch Party, myself & Martin must have walked about 10miles chatting to everyone we could & introducing ourselves to everyone, even peole who weren't PP member

Thanks Pam. I wish I could say it is good to be back, but heyho, what's another 9 days. All frantic here with catching up with the work, getting Mia's stuff organised, trying to track down suitable houses to view and wondering how I am going to manage for 2 weeks with no clothes (Mia's will take all the allowance on meanie Thomsonfly) - borrow Sam's I guess. So, if anyone sees me looking like mutton dressed as lamb you'll know why!!!
