Post subject:  Help my dog has gone barking mad

I have a 7 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. He has always been a yappy dog, but very affectionate. The complex pool is about 2 meters in front of our house and the dog goes mad when any one walks past it or goes by it, or the front of of house. He has now started to sit and lok at the ceiling or the wall and bark, or howl. He is in good health but his barking is getting us and our neighbours (who are being very nice about it) down.

I am dreading the summer coming when people actually go in the pool, we have to keep the blind down all the time, but he has now learned how to get behind it and had nearly pulled it, and the curtains down.

I have tried everything, but nothing works, I love my little dog, but it is getting us all down.

ANY HELP PLEASE.

There is a guy goes in the Seahorse who is a dog behaviourist. Next time I am in there I will get details for you.

Right, talking of dogs, I'm off to take ours for her daily walk down the lighthouse, to get rid of all that pent up energy she's got from sitting in my shop all day :D :D

I was just thinking, our pup has started barking just lately too, maybe Neils theory isn't too far off the mark  maybe we're close to/or suffering minor tremours that we can't hear or feel :o :o

I've got a 'stop-barking collar' which we were going to try on our pup but she only barks when I torment her, so if want it, feel free to collect it from me at my shop in Geroskipou sometime :D
