It's near the bus station in the old town, between the bus station and the Polis Road. If you travel into town from Chlorakas, go past both sets of traffic lights then turn left at the end of the one way section as the road bends to the right. At the T junction turn left and its on your left just past the bus station.

Oh how I wish that were true Verity......

Read this article posted by JGG on PP - verbatim from Cyprus Weekly article

Quote:
The most exciting of these promises to be a set of performances by Prague’s famous Black Light Theatre, who will be staging a performance of Faust.

The show is based on the classic Goethe work and combines dance, dramatic music and visual effects but the whole point and magical element of the performance is the fact that it uses visual trickery, with ‘invisible’ actors, dressed in black, recounting the story visually.

The Paphos Municipality, together with main sponsor Skoda Auto as well as its other sponsors, has allowed for free entrance for both venues.

The first venue will be Wednesday March 5 at the Ayios Athanasios Municipal Theatre with three shows (8.30am & 11.30am for children and then again at 7.30pm for everyone). The second showing will be on Friday March 7 at the Markeidion Municipal Theatre, Paphos, again with three showings at the same times.

Sounds great we thought :) ....... read on.

Arrived at Theatre early to get a good seat. Guy in box office appeared after 5 mins with a puzzled look and said "shows over in few minutes, you want to see end?" We declined!

Apparently they started at 5pm not 7.30pm
as quoted in Cyprus Weekly article.

So NO SHOW for us!

Consoled ourselves with a chinese at Phuket!

Carnival on Saturday was excellent (and at the correct time)

Oh dear, Helen.

Must have been Cyprus time quoted. I hope someone enjoyed the show. How come everyone else got there on time? How strange.

That's what we wondered but as we were leaving the car park loads of other people started to arrive, obviously in the same boat as us!

When I got home I checked the paper and in the article the time was wrong but in their 'coming events' section the time was correct so I guess it was a 50/50 chance depending on which part of the paper you read! Typical

Funny enough I just checked the Cyprus Weekly website again and the 'coming events' section has the performances on again today which they most definitely are not!

Never believe what you read in the newspapers!

Good job we are not in litigation country, Helen. The Cyprus Weekly would be bankrupt in no time.
