Hi.

Happy IWD to all you ladies. Just got a nice bouquet of roses from the husband, yes, he can be thoughtful sometimes!
On Euro News the other morning they mentioned IWD and said that if women around the world were treated fairly we wouldn't need this day as every day would be Womens day! I agree.


Just incase you think I'm spoilt no one in my family bothers about Mothers day so I missed out there as my husband is Cypriot. I did remind the kids and they said that they would be nice to me, that's the best present!

Hi Jill,
thought there was something going on as yesterday I was up at the General Hospital with my father in law to get him his meds and a couple of Cypriot ladies were walking around in the hospital giving out a flower to all the women. ( I thought it was something to do with Mothers Day) so now I know.
What a nice thing to do giving out a flower to each and every woman :D

Jill, on one of the posts about Mother's Day someone had said that in Cyprus Mother's Day is in May.

You should find out about it. You might get some more flowers. :lol:
