I don't show my online status. No particular reason. Have done it that way for several years.
Maybe it is because I don't feel comfortable being in a crowd and it is a subconscious thing.

Not me. Can't see the point of being a member and not showing yourself online. You can always browse the site and not log in. |

Sometimes i do sometimes i don't if i decide to stay logged in whilst on computer i may stay offline.Old habit as admin old forum.

I thought you were 'hidden' if you were a member but hadn't logged in otherwise you would be a guest! I tick the 'log me in automatically' button but that's not to say it always happens . . . anywhere!

If you go to your profile you can choose to hide your on line status. Then, when you log in, your name won't appear at the top of the forum which you are browsing. As soon as you post anything people will know you are there. Initially I thought that you had to choose a forum name - hence Starchild - otherwise I would have just been Verity. I nearly always put my name at the bottom of my posts anyway. Verity.

Hmm I never 'browse a forum' I just 'view messages since the last visit' so that's prolly why I've never seen it |
