Hi I have a bride ask me if I know of any Cyprus dancers? My answer is no but I would like to help her find some. Do any of you have any contacts? Thanks Cheryl x |

Hi Cheryl. Yes, there's an excellent bunch that operates out of Mandria. They put on a great performance at the Peanut festival we go to in Mandria each year, and my wife and daughter got them to my 60th birthday party last year. Can't remember the price, but nmot expensive. Very talented people. Don't have their number to hand, but could find out from my daughter who lives in Mandria. Lloyd |

Chez, have you tried pm-ing Shar-pei? Her husband does the dance with the glasses on his head, so he may know of some dancers. Verity. |

Will come back to you on this Cheryl. In the meantime, took these pics yesterday at our Green Monday celebrations at Ha Potami Forest; unlimited wine, beer and loukamaides courtesy of Aristo: Part of what makes living in Cyprus great, don't you think? Lloyd |

Phil loves that stuff, Lloyd. Thankfully I don't. Is it full of gluten? Fantastic photos. Thanks. Verity. |

All I'll say, Verity, is that my wife is not a dessert, or cake, or chocolate, or sweet, lover...in any form. "Too sweet" are her immortal words. Music to my ears, of course, because that means I normally get to eat her share . However, she too loves loukamaides, as does my daughter, who is also not a great 'dessert' person. Trust me, they're addictive! Not sure what the gluten content is, but the man in the van dispensing them described them as being "Cyprus mini-doughnuts". However, they taste nothing like that, nor are they greasy. Lloyd |
