Does anyone else get an electric shock whilst pushing their trolley round Pap's in Paphos? [and i don't mean the prices!! :lol: ] It mostly happens when passing the freezers or chill cabinets. It doesn't happen in any other shop - except Asda in Livingston, Scotland.

Yes. It also happens to mr JGG and Mrs JGG when shopping.

Last year, prior to adoption of the €

I/we were both "shocked" when pushing trolley in Paps.

But the company{Paps} attached chains to the bottom of each trolley to disperse the "static"

But since the beginning of this year, and changeover from Cy coins to Euro coins

static HAS continued...............

I use to get electric shocks a lot in the U.K. from the shopping trolleys.

I also get shocks from our fly screens....... :shock: :shock:

I think most of us suffer from the shocks, although must admit that on Saturday Steve pushed the trolley for me and he didn't say a thing. :roll:

I ust say that certain stores seem to have trolleys that keep shocking for fun. I found a solution. You only seem to find your trolley is a "shocker" when you have put half a dozen items in and the trolley park is 100 meters away. So its a bind going to get one that may also be a shocker. So periodically I bump into someone, or let kiddies grab the trolley, leave it centrally in an Isle so someone has to move it to get past. But no matter how you try to solve the problem it always gets you once or twice when your not ready.

Maybe they should harness the power by way of a dynamo (like the old pushbikes) to power an instore satnav to get you round quicker!!
