My lovely other half would like to take a trip up north (no not Polemi) for her birthday next month
And have a night in Aya Napa (god knows why) Imagethen over the border for a couple of nights in Famagusta

Do you have any suggestions for hotels in either destination?
Would you suggest an alternative location?

I agree with Neil - it is not perfect and is certainly not 5 star but I would give it a 3 star and it is fine, especially for the money. Do not go to the Majestic Beach Hotel in Bogaz - that is a total disaster and is actually more expensive than the Salamis Bay.

I stayed in the majestic also, you have to go outside and across the road to the cafe for breakfast ??

And what's wrong with Polemi, then :huff - there's plenty going on up here, especially at the moment, with goats heads on special BOGOF offer :crylaughin

Now don't go getting all protective, :bat I never said there was anything wrong with Polemi, we stayed there for a week one day  We are stocked up on goats heads at present which were free from our swimming pool ;) but will consider another trip back for the next virgin sacrafice. In the meantime however, she still wants to go north to compare Famagusta with Polemi

OK consider your ringside seats reserved

What's to compare? Famagusta's got an old walled town, and sandy beaches nearby. We've got lovely rolling countryside, lots of nature conservation areas, virgin sacrifices, wineries, more sacrifices, pretty little neighbouring villages, more sacrifices. How can you possibly choose Famagusta with all its history over Polemi with all its sacrifices? :doh :smilielol

I think it's going to be a long wait though, they ran out of Virgins long ago.

They tell me that's why Jesus wasn't born there!. They couldn't find 3 wise men and a virgin ;)
