I'm here recovering from the flu , went down with it last Saturday and only now starting to feel better , and to be honest I'm feeling a bit bored .

It's strange , when you have all day to sit and read this site it seems quiet , but when I get in from a normal days work and log on it seems like it's been non stop natter all day , it then takes all evening to catch up .

Okay , I know being a bloke means I can't join the coffee lady's line of chat , and I guess all the guys are in the sports section talking footie , but there must be something going on surely .

Anyway , to try and raise a smile for you nice people I think I'll stick up a photo , I know we all have a pop at the Cypriot drivers , and even the local press recently had an article on how the driving instructors exams are to hard , but spare a thought for the local aviation schools .

It has been a bit quieter than usual today - I think this at least partly because some of our gobbier members (not mentioning any names Molly and Pete! ) have family visiting so aren't spending so much time online just now....

Good time maybe for some of the members who've registered but not posted as yet to chip in??

:D

Hi Mike,
That's because we have had a lovely day here up in the hills and we have been out in the garden, watching our fruit trees growing and admiring the views!!
Just come in, had showers - no water cuts up here [yet] - and are about to go out to the Farmyard Taverna in Kathikas for a delicious meal!! What a great life - no wonder we moved here.

P.S. Sorry to hear about your 'Flu.

It's been a super day down here in Somerset too , lots of luvvly sun and just a small breeze, I managed to make the short walk down to T****S for the daily papers and some other supplies , I am only now starting to get some energy back after 5 days of suffering . The first 3 I hardly ate , the next 2 I wanted to but could hardly be botherd , today is better and I may well cook something later .

The worst problem has been lack of sleep , usually when I'm off colour I sleep well , but this time it's been terrible . Go off , wake after about 2 1/2 hrs , then toss and turn the rest of the night , maybe I overdid with with the Lemsip and other stuff . Weird sorts of dreams too . :madcow

Why is it that as we get older it takes longer to get over these things ?

Thanks for the symathy , I appreciate it , strange how even people you've never met can be feel like ones you've known for ages on a forum .

Martin , glad to here the motor passed it's MOT.

Now just for the fun of it a warning to any SCUBA divers out there , be very careful about what you eat before a dive , at all costs avoid anything that could cause flatulance , or this could be you . :explode

Hey, Mike,
Please keep that flu bug down in Burnham, don't really want it up here in WSM. Hope you feel much better soon.
Take care,
Sue.
