Those old fashioned sweets which you cant seem to find anymore....

Well I've found a online shop: http://www.mrsbrowns.co.uk/acatalog/index.html

Check it out, they do most of the golden oldies & loads more, plus they ship abroad too, so you could be enjoying those old memories while sucking on your favorite sweets again :!:

If it was.................... we used to call it " coo candy "

Dont think a penny chew would cost a penny any more... :?

Does anyone remember a chocolate bar called Loot? I don't think it was around for very long, but I remember devouring it.

A pineapple chunk almost got the better of me when it lodged in my throat. I am lucky to be here to tell the tale.

I was at Fassouri market just before Christmas, and "found" the sweet stall - OMG I spent a fortune! They had fruit salad, and black jacks, and walnut whips (but only with the walnut on top  ), Fry's turkish delight, Frys chocolate cream bars. Absolutely wonderful, and brought back loads of memories. I must have a ride down there before Easter to see if they have Cadburys cream eggs, and the chocolate eggs with the sugar shell on them - yummy

I am sure there will be cream eggs on the bases, Jean. Next time I go in the shop I will pick some up for you if I see any.

I regularly buy Fry's Chocolate Cream. It is one of the benefits of working on an MOD base.

For the uninitiated, these are "Scotch Pies" traditionally made with mutton.

Thanks Jean,

I wish I could but due to my IBS, I'm not allowed to eat pastry anymore, so no more pies for me I'm afraid :(

I get very down hearted seeing all these delicious pastries around but not able to eat of them
