Irrespective of its severity, which Chinaman decided to call it the "Corona Virus"?

It was not a China man who coined this phrase, it was the world health organisation, this question was asked on the news the other night, I have cut and pasted here from the BBC to help all to understand.

According to the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) corona viruses are a group of viruses which produce symptoms like that of flu.
Symptoms can range from a runny nose, cough, sore throat and fever, but can also escalate to pneumonia.
Corona virus gets its name from the word ‘corona’ which means crown in Latin.
Corona virus has a series of crown-like spikes on its surface, which is the reason for the name

I have just seen the new figures regarding the deaths and infections, 243 deaths yesterday and over 1350 so far, there have been 15,000 new cases reported and two senior officials have been sacked.

This is getting out of hand, I wonder what the Cypriot authorities are doing about this regarding people coming from China, as Cyprus is a small Island if that get lose you are in for a very hard time.

Public information campaigns on preventive measures against the coronavirus are to be stepped up, with the possible involvement also of the private sector, Health Minister Constantinos Ioannou said on Wednesday.

In a message on Twitter, the minister said he had reviewed the state’s plan of action as well as the measures in place at points of entry in Cyprus to deal with a possible coronavirus case with the unit responsible for monitoring epidemics.

Ioannou said he gave instructions to intensify the information campaign for the public on measures to prevent and protect against the coronovirus. The unit will arrange a meeting with the medical association to discuss coordination and if necesssary the involvement of the private sector.

Cyprus has drawn up a plan of action and introduced measures at points of entry following the coronovirus outbreak in China, in line with the recommendations of the World Health Organisation and the European Centre for Disease Control.

That is great news, it is a worrying time for a lot of people, I would hate to see that you good people could come down with this terrible disease.

For those that are interested some background info on this disease.

My cousin Dr Peter Daszak (my dads sister married a Ukrainian years ago), President of Eco Health Alliance based in USA has discovered how the virus has started.
In the Chinese markets there was contaminated sea food that was consumed by bats and other wild animals, then was transmitted to humans as many other diseases are transmitted.

If you are interested (if) just Google Dr Peter Daszak Corona Virus, interesting reading that is if you are interested.

To be blunt ...yes the Chinese yet again have been found to be eating foods that no one else would think to eat

And now these inedible wild foods / fish have brought about this awful virus

The Chinese are set to bring extinction to many animals and fish due to there now defunct through science need to eat\take ...stupid foods...like rhinoceros horn, shark fins elephant tusks etc etc as delicacies as they continue to help to wipe out our world wild animals...come on ...it is now the 21 st century.... no one any more needs to wipe out these gorgeous animals for such stupid reasons ...rant over off soap box :soap
