Had a largely sensible shopping trip this morning. Went to Lidl, Garden of Eden, big Paps, M&S and Smart. Staff were checking customers, and turning them away where necessary, and nobody was panic buying and there was plenty of stock available plus a few bargains on short dated things.

Highlight was probably the British expat in Lidl who walked round the entire shop talking through his shopping list with a lady on speaker and the pair of them were almost shouting at each other. You could hear them from two aisles away.

When we shop we always keep the trolley next to us as it helps to maintain the right distance from other shoppers, but he even had the cheek to go up to OH and tell him to move the trolley so that he could stand right next to him to get what he wanted.

Some people never learn.

Stay safe everyone!

Shame that Mr Philipos does not carry out any of these safety procedures

Which part of hygiene and distancing does this man not get!

We will never shop there ever again!

migmogs

Just got back from the "over 60s" shopping trip to Phillipos.

Hands sanitised on site, checked my age and wore gloves. We were all respectful of each other and smiled as we met, as you do, in the next aisle.

Thanks Mr Phillipos and your excellent staff.

I am glad that things this morning where much more healthier for all
And that Mr Philipos has upped his game
Because yesterday when my husband went in
It was a free for all
With no hand sanitizer...no gloves handed out ...no handles of the trolleys cleaned.
Absolutely busy busy busy ...no counting in and counting out customers for numbers control!
I even have the video and picture of one man in shorts just standing, leaning on and over the meat counter with his bare arms and not even attempting to stand back and distance!
At the tills people where all up close and almost touching each other
Both car parks where full ...over the rd as well

other supermarkets offered all of the above you got this morning last week, plus they have distancing tape on the floors to try to stop virus contamination

An improvement will also help his wonderful staff ..who we think very highly of....and who are all front line workers

Nice one Tanny & migmogs!

It's amazing the things you haven't got when you need them to do a job!

I went to One Stop to get some things, but they were closed.

Not wishing to repeat with a trip to Phillipos, I phoned them, but it wasn't answered, so I assumed they too were shut.

Thanks to you two, I now know I can go to Phillipos to get them.
