WEll - how much have you saved? the Coronavirus has certainly had an impact on my spending.
Normally we we shop twice a week, walking round we often bought items on impulse, when we finished shopping we called in called into Costa and had a coffee which on average cost £5.50 for two of us.
Once a week we called into our local garden centre and had coffee £10.50 for two of us, at the same time we bought the odd plant and bits for the garden or flowers for the house rough cost £30 on plants and flowers.
Fuel for the car was round about £80 per month just running around shopping and visiting friends (fuel dearer here).
Now we only go out once a week for food, we have worked it out, with the reduced choice in the supermarket and no where open, we have saved nearly £300 per month and if you converted that into Euros at a rate of €1.10 per pound that is €330 give or take.
So how is your bank balance
Same here. I am one of the unlucky ones who has to stay at home for 12 weeks.
As a result we are having to rely on neighbours and local help centres to get our groceries. (No home delivery slots anywhere).
We feel we need to just ask for the bare essentials rather than anything exotic so our savings are considerable.
However! Himself now owns and plays an electric guitar ( care of Amazon) and we have just ordered a parasol base and a BBQ cover so that has used some of the savings!
I do miss having a meal out once or twice a week but most of all I miss hugging!
Stay safe and well everyone.xx
