I have friends who has recently sold their house here and are in the UK with no intention of returning to Cyprus due to medical issues.
As a thank you for helping with the sale etc, he has decided to leave / gift me his motorbike….whoopa…except… does anyone know if there is any way to get it transferred to my name without him being present? I have the log book

A common occurrence this, especially with the owner dying. Pop along to a car dealer, they have trade rules for selling vehicles.

Good luck.

Is it a Harley Davidson?

As long as the owner has signed a change of ownership form which is downloadable from the DoT website you should be able to do it. I recommend the very helpful Citizens Advice lady at Anavargos post office to do it fro you rather than the miseries at the DoT office on the Industrial Estate!

I should check first as the Anavargos office has only been able to offer a limited service and most things are dealt with at the main Citizen's Service Centre which, depsite being bigger and busier, is normally quite a bit quicker.

Things may have changed since the relaxation this week, but still worth checking.

Sadly, you are going to have to wait a while to sell it as (I believe) you are still only allowed to meet with members of your household, so you can't show it to, or meet with, anyone to sell it. Shame really, as in a different world, OH may well have been interested in it. :-(
