Amazon UK V Amazon Germany

If you are ordering anything from Amazon UK, it is worth checking Amazon De (Germany)
We ordered an item yesterday that was £165 (€184)from Amazon UK…EXACTLY the same item (inc ref number) from Amazon De was (€140) £125 naturally we ordered from Germany

Fair comment but the reverse can also be true. Can't remember what the article was but the DE price was quite a bit dearer than the UK price, but agree worth checking. When we are completely out of the EU ordering from Germany may always be the best way in order to avoid import duties from a non EU Country.

We bought an exercise bike from the UK in early March, it was £99.95 with postage £87 (€220 total), DE price was €220 before postage, it came via Frankfurt and Malta, there was no excise duty on it when it arrived.
Bear in mind that at the moment stuff from the UK is taking around 6 weeks to arrive

You get the same with Ebay, I needed a new UV light for my fish pond, it was £97 on ebay UK but at the bottom of the same page they show items available from abroad and I got one for Euro 49 from Germany so I didn't mind paying the 7.50 postage and I received it in 3 days, quicker than the UK company quoted.
