Saw this on my way past...did it collapse or was it 'pipe bombed'?

There is a 'blast trail' in the second picture reminiscent of a pipe bomb...

Dave,I tend to agree with your conclusions, in our dark and murky past I think you and I have seen this before, as a thought was there a cash machine there?

My Edd says he thinks a car hit it...hence the strewn bench, plant pots destroyed etc driving from Peyia down to Coral Bay ...the car he thinks was parked ...smashed up next to the kiosk near to Neptune’s ...he saw it early this morning at 8.50 am....he says if you where to look closer as he did ...there was smashed headlamp bits and car skid marks...he went back to take a picture of the smashed up car ...but it had already gone

But could be wrong

Easy!!
I looked at the photos and there is NO creator from an explosion.
Also there is no shrapnel marks in the area.
I am an Ex explosives licence holder in the UK!

Good deduction I originally suspected a pipe bomb had been attached to the supporting wooden pillar and that caused the debris spread onto the gravel

Do pipe bombs use ammonium nitrate ?

Yes it can be used, as we found out in NI, add it to potassium nitrate and you have completed the first steps of a bomb.

The rest of the makings and composition is not for this site.

To this day you can only buy fertiliser in Northern Ireland with a certain percentage of Ammonium Nitrate
