Article in DM today - Nobody in Netherlands asked to wear masks except on public transport. Perhaps they are the sensible nation. |

Wearing masks work to stop transmission Hand sanatizing helps to stop the spread of the virus Good news...he went into Big Philipos DIY ...a young man tried to enter with no mask on and he was told no entry ...and made to go away....well done big Philipos DIY Stay safe all |

A genuine question for those who don’t want to / refuse to wear a mask:- WHY? I should add that before we get 'too' hard non mask wearers, there are some people who have medical 'exemptions' |

I should add that before we get 'too' hard non mask wearers, there are some people who have medical 'exemptions' On the second part of above ...young Nicos in Elisaveta resteraunt cannot wear a mask although he wants to ...because he has extreme Asthma and collapses to needing epi pens and steroids when he does wear one....being in a high risk group himself..he still has to work.....he pays over 90 euros per week to be covid tested every week to make sure that he is covid free....so he is medically exempted and he is not flaunting the mask wearing rules at all |

I have COPD so I suppose I could get an exemption from wearing a mask but I just about manage after our very limited ventures out. I wore one in the hairdresser's for about 45 minutes and could not have lasted any longer. |

This virus is going to be passed around and around from person to person until there is herd immunity and covering our faces is going to make it last even longer, probably many many years. I believe that all older people (like me - nearly 80) should 'stay safe' particularly if with underlying conditions whilst younger people should go about their business as normal and no lock-downs and certainly no masks. Governments, who have invested billions of taxpayers money in an attempt to create a lasting and 'SAFE' vaccine, want the public scared and locked down until a vaccine arrives, but there are so many medical assessments (which governments and MSM will not admit) that to achieve a vaccine as described is very doubtful and the vaccine is what they are relying on for herd immunity. I will comply with the regulations as I'm only in a supermarket maybe twice a week for about 20 minutes, and I also complied with all the previous restrictions, but at my age I don't intend to spend the rest of my life frightened into compliance with regulations which I think are misplaced and if I catch the virus, so be it, I will just hope that my immune system is strong enough to fight it. I have never had the flu jab because I believe it weakens the immune system and there is now emerging evidence of that, and there are some scientists who link it to making older people more susceptible to having a more serious illness if they catch Covid19, but that is another story! |

Mask wearing, distancing, cleaning hands etc Is all there to not only protect individuals But also to stop what happened in Spain and Italy When their hospitals became over run and terrible decisions to life and death had to be made It,s all about keeping the virus spread low enough so that health systems do not to get over run And that in turn ...means that those who do get the virus and become very very sick Are able to get the hospital specialist care that they need to save their lives We are only still at the beginning of the pandemic World figures are less than 20 million ...real figures probably 60 million have had the virus We are billions of us on earth yet with no immunity to this virus ...so a very long way off herd immunity yet And yes the more that get the virus who don,t get very sick the better But who knows which of us won,t get very sick or not? Stay safe all |

Masks are also not 100% guaranteed, but it seems to be the best option at the moment and whatever actions Cyprus is taking seem to be working. |

https://m.facebook.com/HighWireTalk/vid ... om%2F&_rdr I posted this on Paphos Corona Virus News on PP last week. Don't know if anybody bothered to watch the video but this guy is highly regarded in the US for talking outside the box of news fed by politicians to main stream media and I think he speaks a lot of common sense and provides data to back him up. It's all about herd immunity and the risks of dying in various age groups. Well worth watching even though you may regard it as false information but it does tend to be backed up by the following:- https://directorsblog.nih.gov/2020/07/2 ... -covid-19/ |

We have a friend who's son is 22 and isn’t wearing a mask, and won’t. He’s not being difficult; he’s being autistic. His neurology makes him more sensitive than other people to touch and texture, and he cannot bear the feeling of having his nose and mouth covered by fabric. |
