Yesterday being Wednesday it was so hot in the UK that it reminded me that at 1pm all junior ranks of our regiment 1 Y&L had to undertake a cross country run over the hills at Episkopi Base. Yes it was hot but it beat working in a factory in Sheffield. |

The run was organised by Major Callaghan who was given the nickname of Road Runner from the cartoon series, everyone below the rank of sergeant had to partake when he came on parade 200+ voices went 'Beep Beep'. He started a few after us and anyone that he passed had to go round again. |
