The shocking news from Paris yesterday regarding the tragic beheading of the school teacher Samuel Paty, he was trying to get his students to debate the rules and ethics behind free speech, was he right or wrong.

Having worked with Muslims, I know how they revere their god and what they think about his name being ridiculed, was the teacher right or wrong, either way to behead him is a bit OTT, what goes through the mind of this type of person who can behead a person for trying to teach students.

A very emotive subject, was he right or was he wrong, you decide

The name of the thread says it all ! It just goes to reinforce my opinions that despite tremendous effort the integration of very different cultures and religions is not working. Tolerance should be a two way street ! The only answer I see is segregation.
