We have been asked to let you know by a couple of 'service providers / agents' that the immigration department is now nearly fully booked for MEU3 application interviews / process until the middle of December

Was that for MEU1 OR MEU3?

For MEU3 anyone pensionable or ill / disabled/ struggles to fill forms in

You can use the uk government help that has been set up in EU countries CRPG 99826087

They come out to your home and help you to fill in the form and then they send off all of the correct paperwork for you Free of charge to Nicosia

20 euros of course for Immigration process

When you arrive in Cyprus, you need to apply for the MEU1 within three months of arrival. After five years living here, you can apply for the MEU3 which gives you permanent residency.

I think the argument is that the MEU3 avoids any potential post Brexit issues but, when I asked at Immigration a while back, I was told there was no need to apply for MEU3 as MEU1 was more than sufficient.

Not saying that is necessarily correct, but it is what I was told.

I would like to know if you have make an immigration appointment prior to Dec 31st but the appointment is after the 31st Dec is this OK - this relates to MEU1 not MEU3 (but would think the same for both)

It is up to each individual to make their own choice
There are advantages to having the MEU3 for example

The MEU3 document allows immediate registration to Cyprus’ General Healthcare system known as GESY. You do not have to be an S1 holder or be contributing to the Cyprus Social Insurance Scheme to register with GESY if you have an MEU3.

If you plan to spend time both in the UK and in Cyprus during the year, an MEU1 allows you to be out of Cyprus for up to 6 months per year whereas, the MEU3 permanent residency status allows up to 5 years out of the country.
