Been waiting since May for the refund of our cancelled May holiday in Paphos.
Everytime we contacted Teletext Holidays they just added another month.
Easyject repaid Teletext Holidays in July for the cancelled flights but they haven't passed it on to us.
We took up our case with our credit card company and were told that it would now be around Christmas before they come up with anything.

Send them a CCJ as they are well in-breach of the atol conditions, even considering the current climate I would say you ( and 1000’s of others”) have waiting a fair amount of time.

My son and a few friends had a holiday to Prague cancelled earlier in the year, they had booked with Ryanair.

They have since instigated the refund process via the Visa Charge Back system, and have now received letters from Ryanair telling them that if they are successful in their claims they will be banned for life from Ryanair!

What a bunch of bullies they are :banghead

If all the airlines process refunds immediately, they will become insolvent very quickly and will close.

Yes, it's annoying to have to wait but these companies are just trying to stay in business.

I have been waiting for Lufthansa refunds since March. I would like to have been repaid sooner but I am happy to be patient if it means that airlines will be there to offer flights again in the future.

If people get impatient and decide to go to court then that has an impact on the rest of us for the future, so I am all in favour of waiting.

I am not a big fan of Ryanair, but I can understand what they are saying, assuming it is correct and not a misunderstanding.

Easyjet refunded my flight costs to my holiday company in July. The holiday company are still making excuses as to why they are holding our money.

I know this is no consolation and is annoying for you and a lot other people, did you see this on the news a couple of days ago, if not I have extracted it from the BBC site, they are financially suffering hence holding peoples monies back.

FROM BBC SITE

Easy Jet has revealed the first annual loss in its 25-year history of £1.27bn - a result of the virus crisis turbulence that grounded airlines globally. The no-frills carrier said the total loss before tax figure for the year to the end of September compared to profits of £430m in the previous 12 months.

I took up our case with the credit card company who we use to pay for our holiday they agreed to pursue our claim.
After some time I contacted them only to be told that they had dropped the claim as we had failed to fill in a form that they have never sent to us. I was shocked when the member of staff told me that it wasn't their policy to inform customers when a claim had been dropped.
Needles to say we are still waiting as they've agreed to take up the claim.

I'm seriously considering another way to book to travel to Cyprus in future.
If anyone knows how to book with a reasonable cost airline I would appreciate it. We know our favourite hotel so we would book that direct.
You never ever get a holiday with Teletext at the price they advertise.

Why not wait till things calm down and you've had your vaccine, they may not let you enter Cyprus unless you have it.

We've finally received our refund after threatening our case to the banking ombudsman.
