Larnaca was turned into a winter wonderland on Sunday morning as a yellow weather warning around the island remains in place for storms.

Hail covered Mackenzie beach as water flooded through the area after heavy rainfall according to photographs uploaded on social media by the WeatherFriends Cyprus group.

The warning for storms remains in place until 4pm Sunday.

On Monday further rainfall with the possibility of more storms is forecast.
