Brexit: UK and EU reach trade deal ending months of arguments
The EU and UK have reached a post-Brexit trade deal, ending months of disagreements over fishing rights and future business rules.

Downing Street said: "We have got Brexit done and we can now take full advantage of the fantastic opportunities available to us".

Prime Minister Boris Johnson will shortly hold a press conference, announcing the agreement.

It comes after days of wrangling in Brussels.

In a press conference in Brussels, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said: "This was a long and winding road but we have finally got a deal."

In or Out there will some folk will argue about it, as you say Dave the deal is done but the devil is in the detail, what have we agreed to? watch this space.

I will lay my last penny on it there will be problems in the commons, Labour will moan about it even though Boris has done what they asked and his own lot will have a go at him.

You are right lowvoltage, Starmer is already saying that he could have done better!! Although apparently he is whipping his MPs to vote for it on Wednesday!!
Of course it is a compromise that is what negotiations are all about but it seems to me that we have done well. France have not done themselves any favours by their childish actions,most especially to their own people stuck in Dover and won't get home for Xmas. We have put in 200 toilets and 20+ mobile catering units for them and of course all the testing which I assume is free and yet some still seek to blame us. I guarantee Macron will not be in power at the next election
