Well, here we are on the verge of a total lockdown, yet I live in a small cul-de-sac and we currently have no less than three neighbours who currently have visitors in their houses, at least one with people from several households. Do these people really not understand what "no visitors" means or are they determined to catch covid and pass it to all their elderly and infirm neighbours? I just cannot believe that so many have chosen to behave this way. And before anyone asks, yes, I do know that 1460 is the number to call. Happy Epiphany! |

Yes it makes me so mad here in the UK too! Supposed to be in total lockdown - only leave the house for food, medicine etc and today 3 cars pulled up outside my house one after the other to view the houses being built opposite me - with the sales rep in tow. Now these houses are nowhere near completion - probably at least 3 months away so I can only assume that these people were bored and needed something to do!! |

So sorry to hear that people where mixing Exactly what was not wanted either here in Cyprus or the uk For those of us...who have followed the rules and advice to the letter it is so arghhhhhhhhh In two weeks time we will once again see a surge in numbers They will all blame the governments for lockdowns We will all know that it is their behavior that is causing these protracted lock downs That are damaging businesses and people’s lives But they just will not listen Maybe hospitals and drs should start to treat only those that have followed the rules and leave the other Neanderthals to fend for themselves But of course that is never going to happen So we are all going to continue to suffer Roll on the vaccine...so that we can all get back to some kind of normality once again Although the weekly vaccination numbers at the minute here in Cyprus ....that is going to take a long 2 years to roll out YIKES! 800,000 divided by 7000 = a very long time! Plus remember to double those equals figures as everyone is going to need a double shot! Beam me up Scotty! |

Yes I am afraid vaccination is one example of EU burocracy and has failed badly. Have just read an excellent article from a German reporter who is incensed at how badly the EU have done with the procurement of vaccines most especially when his own country were instrumental in producing the Pfizer vaccine. As he says,one of the benefits of the UK leaving the EU and an excellent heads up for Boris who was offered the chance to join the EU programme and declined thank goodness! My husband is 72 and getting his jab tomorrow - not heard about mine yet. |

Agree with you Effsie. Why do some people think the rules don't apply to them. It happened in our little road too, people having visitors that don't live there. Keep safe. |

I don't give up - if somebody is doing something that directly affects me, then I talk to them. So far they have all backed off. |
