I follow the Cyprus mail to catch up on what is going on, then I read this and had to read it twice, Covid rules being broken at a funeral and the Police could not enter, what is that all about, then I remembered the the post on here about the funeral in Peyia and all the kissing and wailing without masks.

Next one is going to be when Old man Leptos gets buried, crowds and no masks, what will the church say about that, any have a read.

It is all so worrying

On face book there is a very clear video of everyone in a Cypriot church taking communion

They all pull their masks under their chins...all share the communion spoon that the priest offers to them and then all have their faces wiped with the same towel

We also have the conspirators ..that absolutely believe that there is no virus...that we are all being ruled ..and all being dictated to ...and are refusing to wear their masks...refusing to distance and refusing to use hand hygiene

We have just had CHristmas and New Year twice...Christian and Orthodox and Epiphany ...where loads of lots of different nationalities decided that yes it would be great to just all get together

Hospitals here are already at capacity ...the behavior of the last couple of weeks means ...delay in infections ...delay in infections ill enough to need to go hospital for special care and delays in deaths

There is a reason why we are all now in lockdown yet again

For the rest of us who have been isolating since last March and have no hope of a vaccine for months to come ....it is like Arghhhh

Shake my head in disbelief

Surely God would not permit his loyal followers the infect each other in his own house ?
I'm not religious so what do I know ?
I too find it worrying how many people don't wear a mask correctly , I consider them to be a hazard and to be avoided
I used to be a person who had problems wearing a mask, I genuinely felt restricted and out of breath. I had what I thought was a panic attack, went to GP, turned out I had a mild heart attack and fluid on my lungs. Now my lungs are clear no problem with a mask ! Maybe more people should have their lungs checked !
