Gymnasiums will continue with online classes for another two weeks, while restaurants can serve seated customers only in outdoors areas as from Tuesday, Health Minister Constantinos Ioannou announced on Friday following a meeting of cabinet to review the lockdown amid a surge in coronavirus cases.
Limassol primary schools will also suspend operations for two weeks, he added.
Following a cabinet meeting, the minister announced that from Monday, up to six people from different households can gather in public spaces and parks with the use of mask.
Also from Tuesday, restaurants will be able to serve sitting customers but only in outdoors areas while the curfew will start at 11pm. The SMS system remains in force.
Just for Green Monday, gatherings are allowed at picnic sites and dams.
The minister also announced that primary schools in Limassol which has seen the biggest surge in cases, will suspend operations until March 31 with pupils going back to online classes.
Lower secondary high school pupils (gymnasiums) in all districts will continue online classes until the end of the month.
