The health ministry announced that 22,808 vaccination slots will open on Tuesday for people aged 67 and over. The vaccination portal will open at 8am, it added.

Vaccinations against the coronavirus have picked up momentum as deliveries have increased. A senior health ministry official told CyBC radio on Tuesday that Cyprus expects to take delivery of about 120,000 vaccines in March.

From reading comments on various FB groups and forums the system is working much better now with many appointments for the first vaccination already booked this week for both GESY and non GESY applicants. The 1474 phone number and GESY portal system are being used and a few are made by Personal Doctors - for those in GESY. A different system for those not in GESY.

Some confusion with the SMS texts in Greek as one is giving information about the age group and date and time from when an appointment can be booked and the other is the actual appointment date, time and location of the vaccination.
