So there I was just settled down to listen to the Pop master quiz at 12.30 our time, lunch was prepared, ready for consumption after the event when suddenly............... silence!! No jovial Ken Bruce, asking questions, no genius contestants, no abysmal contestants, in short nothing - zilch.
Now I know that the BBC has been warning us for the last month or so with a pre-recorded message, that they were going to cut us off, but really? They can't mean it, not Aunty Beeb. Maybe my equipment was faulty, a slight glitch, it will all come back in a minute. No it didn't.
So I contacted our supplier, a very helpful lady on the other end of the phone, said that she hadn't heard of anything from the BBC, but she did hint that streaming of the BBC radio channels might not be strictly legal and maybe who ever supplies the streaming might find a way round it.
A silent lunch without music but of course delicious as always.
Then a debate as to what to do. try good old Google, success!! live radio 2 but we had missed the quiz a highlight of our day.
If anybody has found a solution of receiving BBC radio channels through the television system let us know.
Thanks
