Cyprus will remain on the UK’s ‘amber’ list of countries for the coronavirus, putting paid to the island’s hankering for an influx of British tourists for July as well. The UK updates its colour-coded classification system every three weeks – meaning Cyprus will stay there for the next 21 days at least until the next update. The amber country classification means that arrivals on UK territory must isolate at home for 10 days – a major disincentive to travel to those destinations. Malta and the Balearic Islands will be added to England’s green list of places that are safe to visit without requiring quarantine on return, British transport minister Grant Shapps said on Thursday. “Six countries including Tunisia and Haiti will be put on the red list,” Shapps said on Twitter. He added that British residents who have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 will not have to isolate when travelling from countries on the amber list, according to government plans that will be explained in more detail next month. According to the Cyprus News Agency’s information, the UK’s latest classification added to the ‘green’ list – the safest one – Spanish island of Madeira in addition to Malta and the Balearic Islands. No we won't be in full lock down because we are doing so well with the vaccine and even young people are queuing up to get it however with one jab people are still getting covid and feeling very unwell albeit not bad enough for hospitalisation. Malta, despite being on the green list are now worried and are asking for full vaccination proof or isolation and I don't blame them. It seems very worrying to me that cyprus airports are still seeing cases of covid on arrival. Are these tourists who have had the pcr test and caught it after the test or residents returning? In either case how many others on the plane or in the airport have they infected? |

FAKE PCR test are readily available in the UK I personally know of 1 couple who arrived on Wednesday and were 'bragging' that they had picked up 2 for £5 each, saving them nearly £100 |

Delta / Indian variant is already here and are we truly surprised! |

You can still potentially still catch the virus even after two vaccinations ...okay 5-10% chance of catching from 100% But still there ... none of us can yet be complacent...we are still in the grips of a global pandemic I honestly believe that every person who wants to go on a flight whether vaccinated or not should be officially PCR tested ...that way we can be sure worldwide that as many as possible of the virus and it's variants are being stopped in the country where they are found....and are not flying around seeding the world! |
