Tempers flared at a vaccination centre in Larnaca on Friday over delays caused by the large number of people there.

Police were called to the vaccination centre at the port where 1,300 were scheduled to receive their Covid jabs.

According to the Cyprus News Agency, the congestion was caused because of people arriving at the centre earlier than their scheduled appointment.

Apart from scheduled jabs with Pfizer and Moderna, people who had their AstraZeneca second doses rescheduled, were also there.

There was fisty cuff fighting at the football stadium in Limassol
When we went for my husbands 2 Nd AZ jab few weeks ago
Security had to be brought in to keep order

locals where turning up with only their medical cards, no appointments and where walking in through the exit doors...and then going into vaccination cubicles demanding to be vaccinated immediately.
When told that they had to make an appointment through their GESY and that they couldn,t be vaccinated that day ....some got extremely angry and started to hit and thump people around them

It was mayhem!

Glad that we don,t have to go back any more

If they were hitting medical staff I hope they have jailed until their case comes up , regardless of age or sex .
