Yesterday evening, I nipped down to Coral Bay for 20 minutes… During this time, someone entered my house by the downstairs bedroom window which was slightly ajar for ventilation….MY WIFE WAS IN THE LOUNGE They took a small quantity of jewellery; cash and a purse with bank cards. Cards cancelled within 15 minutes of discovering I SUSPECT my return scared them off..................Peyia Police were very quick to respond |

Sorry to hear this Dave and hope your wife is OK as must be scary for her realising that they entered the house whilst she was there. |

Sorry to hear about this. Can I ask if well-placed security cameras on your property would have helped the police in identifying the miscreants? Might not have prevented the loss of your property I know but these people do surveillance on potential victims and seeing cameras could help. Thanks. Let's hope the police catch them. No, I've nothing to do with the security business........ |

We have security camera to the front and 'part' of the rear...they found the 'blind' spot. Front cameras checked and all clear. Came in via an orchard (Police have confirmed this from footprints) Police were very good this morning taking prints and DNA samples...Hope they get them before I do  They were saying that 4 other houses in Peyia were done last night |

So sad to hear this news How horrible for your dear wife ...to be in your home unsuspecting that these horrors where in your home ...glad that you came back when you did Hope that the items that where stolen are found soon Some one else yesterday reported that her outside Christmas decorations where stolen from her front door It is Christmas and the thieves are out ....truly sad Stay safe all |
