Cyprus rattled by 5.3 quake on Wednesday

A 5.3 magnitude earthquake rattled the island on Wednesday morning, the geological survey department said.

The quake was recorded around 5.21am and was felt in various areas around the country.

The epicentre was located in the sea 160km northwest Polis Chrysochous at a depth of 80km.

The geological survey department is monitoring.
