I read in cyprus mail I think of the english gentleman who killed his wife. I have now read on facebook that their family comes from Northumberland close to where I now live. They are fully supporting their dad and appealing for help to pay legal fees as they reckon he could get life imprisonment. They say their mum and dad did not reveal to them the hell they were going through. Apparently she had leukaemia and was in a lot of pain and they were getting no support. Apparently the lady was begging her husband for some time to put her out of her misery and in the end he could no longer resist her pleas. He had fully intended to kill himself by taking a large overdose but did not succeed. He was initially taken to Hospital and then a mental health unit but is now just in prison awaiting trial. How very very sad this is!

Absolutely tragic, I'm sure most of us have been affected by the events of a few weeks ago and echo your thoughts. Even people who considered themselves friends of the couple weren't aware of the gravity of the situation.
