Paphos People

Two collapses in quick succession, fortunately only few casualties. Is it a hang over from the recent tremors or something more sinister afoot?

Back in 2000 we had a flat in an old Raftus block behind Thomas's jungle. most of the flats were rented out , the landlords spent NOTHING on maintenance , apparently most lived in Nicosia and never answered their phones. the flat next to us had a young mother and baby, with broken plumbing, in the end i fixed the tanks and taps to render the flat habitable.
so rumours go the buildings pre 2000 were often built with concrete made from unwashed sand from the beach and even sometimes sea water, if this has any truth then the wrotting of the rebars in the buildngs is par for the course.
