Hi all, just hoping to get things straight in my mind. I currently have an MEU3, which means that each time I travel I have to take the A4 sheet with me and it is getting a bit tatty. Am I right in thinking that the MUKW3 (which is the one currently recommended by the High Commission) is the plastic credit card sized one? Thanks in advance. |

Hi, Yes it is a plastic card, I find it much easier than the old paper one. However, there is no need at the moment to change and it will be a bit of a faff to get the new card. It also needs updating after 10 years, the paper one does not have an expiry date. It is handy as proof of ID when asked for. I only changed my MEU1 to a UKW3 because I had not bothered to change my MEU1 (should have done that about 8 years ago!), but was advised to upgrade my 1 to a 3. It does not seem to have any extra benefits using the card over the paper one. Maybe keep the paper one in a plastic sleeve - my many years old MEU1 is still in good condition. HTH Digby |
