Sorry i dont know how to link a story in a post using old andriod. This story is in the Cyprus Mail, so what do you do with 150 'hot' rabbits ? They were stolen in Limmasol , so maybe will be on sale in Paphos !

What colour please?

Come certain Wednesdays and Sundays they could be released on a one by one basis for entertainment.

Perhaps it's related to the recent theft of vegetables and fruits from farmers I read about recently.
Some are putting up barbed wire around their fields to prevent theft and damage to crops

The article didnot specify colours, just that they were stolen from an orchard

I always thought that rabbits where bred here in Cyprus for food and not for pets

So yes some communities could have stolen these 150 rabbits ...to sell for food

I feel very sad for the poor farmer

Times are changing rapidly

Wow migmogs, some assumptions there, probably bred for hunting. Just an assumption but as valid as food.

First time I have ever heard of rabbits being bred for hunting ?

I have though often seen rabbit on the menus in different tavernas
And have seen many rabbits in the fridges at butchery departments

Hence my assumption

If the rabbits where for the food chain ...I feel sad for the farmer!
