Three arrests were made on Wednesday as the police cracked down on electricity theft taking place at a Chlorakas residential complex.

Paphos police spokesman Michalis Nikolaou said the operation took place between 7am-10am where they first identified two cases of electricity theft via connections from a nearby substation.

A 22-year-old and two 23-year-olds were arrested, from two different apartments.

During the arrest one of the 23-year-old is reported to have suffered a fractured heel after an attempted escape by jumping from a second-floor balcony. He was taken to Paphos general hospital where he received care and was later discharged.

The police added that the operation took place in coordination with officials from the electricity authority and water services.

Best thing they could do would be to get them all out - the problem's not going to end whilst theyre still living in this ghetto! Unfortunately it seems they're moving on to the abandoned Adamou gardens next door now!

Still can't fathom out how/why Panareti aren't in court for allowing this to happen?
