There is an article in the Guardian about people wanting to save their human staffed railway ticket office . I am in agreement with this . I assume the people not wanting the station ticket offices closed down also agree to use cash and not pay with their card or phone , not buy off the internet , not have pre paid home delivery but to leave their house , goto the shop and pay cash ! What do you think ? |

You can buy train tickets in post offices and newsagents in other countries. The National Lottery terminals and supermarket Point of Sale machines could easily be adapted to do this. Bet the RMT would come out on a political strike over this as well. |

Clive i dont think there is a problem in finding multiple ways and places to buy train tickets electronicically but keeping a man in the ticket office at the station . Wasnt aware the RMT had anything to do with this . The article i read supported a post by a Hatfield group trying to keep the ticket office open , i may be wrong but it seems as though disabled access requires staff assitance / intervention , so there is a disabled group complaining it will deny them access ! The reason i posted is because i figured someone knew more than me . |
