I have read a number of articles here and there about anti tourist and in some cases antibrit protests . Obviously it has been sensationalized to gain more clicks . Certainly club 18 /30 caused friction with locals and even other tourists . If things are the same as they were 25years ago in Las Americas, Tenerife then i can understand locals have had enough!
Of course throughout the spanish south coast line and islands an enormous tourist economy has been built up ! Remains to be seen if they stick to their guns

Absolutely, many more locals in all tourist destinations are now 'holidaying'in their own country and witnessing the behaviour of incoming tourists for the first time and being quite shocked by what is happening to earn a buck. Before what was hidden is in plain sight and is being experienced so of course people will have negative sentiment.

Its not only the club teen to mid twenties thats at fault. i have been in many places behind or near tourists (usually Brits) whose behaviour towards the server is disgraceful with such an arrogant attitude.

Well i too have experienced poor behaviour first hand ! , 15 years ago i was on the beach working jetskis , when i explaianed about driving the jetskis in a safe manner and not driving in the swimming area i was often met with rude and arrogant answers and on one occasion when i shouted at a guy for driving like a lunatic , when he came in said to me , im on holiday i can do anthing i f@#$@#g want to, he didnt see my boss standing behind him when he said this ! With one punch from the boss the 'tourist 'was out cold .

When we ran the restaurant there were definate differences between tourists , i think my favourite to serve were the Polish , best manners and best parents and the not well off Russians or Russian speaking !
