And many, many, Israelis are looking for safe 'escape' havens in Cyprus, typically holiday homes, but some choose to live here, particularly business owners. Israel to Cyprus is just 45 mins, so makes perfect sense. This has done wonders for local businesses, big and small... and has helped bolster the house-buying market.
Tour companies and airlines are not slow to capitalise on a high-demand commodity. Simple as.
Just returned from Cyprus.
Never seen so many incomplete buildings, at one time when you came back the following year they would have been completed.
Many empty commercial premises (Bars, Stores etc) Graffiti everywhere. Night entertainment declined, not one live band anywhere, Bar Street so dull.
So I'm not a moaner I'm pointing out as we found it.
We always hire a car as we have so many favourite locations some from our time her with HMForces.
