Interesting lists - the bad boys run to 25 pages whilst the good eggs only manage 8. No surprise there, I suppose............. |

First off, welcome Biggles... I'm guessing that list of baddies is mainly cypriots or are there non-cypriots listed also I suppse they think the majority of people won't notice the odd cent/€ here or there but I noticed the price difference in the fuel well before they mentioned it in the press that they were putting up the prices, they seemed to do it & then let people know |

Yes I got stung the other day at the hairdressers. Thought I had finally found a really good hairdresser after I went on my first visit in November (he had only been open about a month) and was charged CYP8. Went again on Tuesday and the cost was 17 euro - obviously I did not realise that he had put the price up by nearly CYP2. I must remember to take my converter out with me so I don't get stung again, although I will query it with him as he does a really good cut and I can walk to the shop with no problems for parking . |

Oh right, didn't know about that one... surely the other one near me is closer for you, but by the looks he might be quite expecsive, as he as a LCD tv hanging on the wall in the salon |

As well as this, the Euro apparently isn't working out brilliantly for those in the service industry either - friend of mine works in a hair salon (not the one that ripped Trish off!) and says tips that used to be 1 pound are now for 1 Euro, 2 Euros instead of 2 pounds etc, which makes quite a big difference to the take-home salary! |

Yeah I always give the girls at the Esso station on Mesoyi road a tip when they fill my car up & wash my windscreen, it use to be cyp£1 but last night I gave them a €2 coin instead, so a raise |

Gosh...you're generous Pete...I've only ever given 50c. Must love you pulling in, with a €2 tip And where are these girls you talk about...I've never seen them. Oh, I get it, nice tip = voluptuous females. Must try that next time. Lloyd |

Pete the other one had opened up first before that one was even fitted out, so thought I would give it a try and must admit he does a brilliant hair cut. He takes at least 45 minutes just cutting my hair. The first time he went a bit scissor happy but when I pointed out his mistakes he made sure he didn't do it a second time, plus after so many visits he gives 15% discount, so although I was ripped off in one sense I am still willing to pay that for a really good cut especially after over three years here and never being completely happy with my hair. So I am just keeping my fingers crossed that he keeps up the good work. |
