Thanks Frank
That's a useful site - I'll keep an eye on it.

Coming over to Cyprus for 2 weeks in May and didn't have great weather same time last year so here's hoping it will be better this year

Tilly

18 degrees in the shade but 27 on my back porch in full sunshine at 11.30am this morning.

Bliss :)

At this time of year though, it's warmer outside than in at certain times of the day. It's when you see the "locals" open up their doors and windows to let the warm air in, rather than keeping the doors well and truly shut

That's something that our holiday visitors can never quite fathom - until they come for the winter, that is.....

Phil and I have sat out on our patio this afternoon with a glass of wine and until the breeze changed direction it was lovely. Even then I slipped my fleece around my shoulders and it was fine. Came in around half an hour ago as it was definitely chilly by then, but the sunset has been fabulous.

It was great to sit out on a Saturday afternoon, looking at the trawler on the sea, watch Maria herd her goats up the lane and listen to goats, cows, donkeys and sheep. So peaceful.

It would have been my Dad's birthday today, so I was enjoying an hour or two on his behalf. Happy Birthday, Dad.

Verity it sounds wonderful

I have sat indoors most of the day with doors and windows firmly closed, heating on and watching the Manchester rain pour down - it has never stopped all day and can't remember when we last has a completely dry day.

Don't suppose you want to swap do you ?? No ? thought not - don't blame you really

Correct, Julie. That WILL be a no. I had my fill of the British weather, thanks, and if I had been in any doubts the week I spent there at Christmas would have been enough to confirm that I am in the right place now.

Blue skies and sunshine again this morning folks.

It is a little worrying though as I am sure we will all pay the price for the lack of rain when the summer hits.
