Does any member manage to listen to
Radio 5 live on the pc.

I cant get it online as the message says
that it cant be streamed outside the UK.

Is there any way of picking it up?

A lot of the Beeb's online stuff is the same - something to do with licensing possibly?

You can get it thorugh your telly if you've got Sky - listened to the match on there the other night!

Well, last weekend I listened to (using Digby's Holitec) ...

BBC R2
BBC R Shropshire
BBC R Stoke
which all worked just fine.

I also listened to 'Signal One', which is commercial radio from Stoke.
This told me it was only available in the UK and asked me for my postcode - I put it in the required box and it worked just fine!

Dunno why BBC R5 should be any different.

I listen to Kerang radio via my Sky box. Can't you access it that way, or don't you have Sky?

Why not, you might ask???

Been here now nearly 7 years
and don't want to be a tv addict
as I/we were once before.

Yes we both miss certain progs. on tv,
but, we now both tend to listen to
radio online ( if we can ).

We listen to Gold ( ex capital Gold ) quite
a lot and they also asked for UK post code
which was easy.
Just typed in our last UK post code and
Hey Presto, we can listen.

Also tried to listen to local radio station from Aberdeen
and receive this message........." Due to circumstances beyond our control we are no longer able to stream outwith the UK. We apologise for this inconvenience and hope to bring you this service or an alternative service in the future."

Although I can get most UK radio programmes via Sky, I brought out with me from the UK a satellite radio. If you want crystal clear CD quality reception of English-speaking programmes from all over the world including BBC Europe, Talksport and Virgin radio, go to web site:

You cannot buy these radios in Cyprus but they will transport OK. Wonderful for listening to the cricket by the swimming pool with ear phones on during the summer.

These radios are wonderful but alas they don't make England play any better.
