For all of you who get MBC 4 tonight is the night!

House is on.
If you love the wit and sarcasm of Dr House you will be glued to your TV as me and Andrew will be.

Oh please let them run all the series. Have seen a lot of them on previous TV but they are great!

Tiggy,

Not sure if you seen the other seasons but JGG, one of our members posted this: http://paphospeople.com/paphospeoplefor ... .php?t=314

So if you haven't seen the rest of it, maybe you could borrow his boxset :D

Well how did it go? Was lying comfortably on the settee watching Oprah, next thing I realised it was 11.30pm - darn I fell asleep.

One good thing about MBC is you can watch them the next day, so guess what I am doing this afternoon.

We are House people, too.

But today I will be watching Vera die as I missed it last week. Have been watching Corrie since it began in black and white. You can bet I will be in tears.

Don't ring me between 3p.m. and 4p.m. today Tiggy or Pete!

Hi,
I'm with you this afternoon, Verity, as long as there is no power cut - we always lose Sky for hours after a power cut - don't know why - just tells us 'No satellite signal received' - very annoying.

Hi Ruth,

Don't want to be teaching you to suck eggs but do you reboot your Sky box once the power comes back on, in this I mean unplug it, leave 30secs, then plug back in :!: leave it another 2 mins before pressing your Sky button :?

This is what I use to do before I got a APC UPS which I connected my TV, SKY & DVD players too, now if the power goes off, I can shut them all down properly, thus not losing the Sky signal by a sudden power cut :D

Ruth, you have my number. If your power goes off just come round to me and put your feet up on my puff.

You will have to bring your own choccy biccys as I am waiting for the delivery man to arrive with my shopping (just like Tesco direct - only it is more Paps direct, via Phil  ).

God haven't seen Corrie for years now.
So spill the beans, how is she going to die?
Is Jack still alive?
What is Rita up to?

Please put me out of my misery..........

   It has something to do with a trip to Blackpool being too much for her - but I don't really know until after I have watched it.

Rita is still in the Kabin, with obnoxious Norris. And Jack is still alive and - presumably - grieving.

I wonder whether he will sell the house to Tyrone and Molly now. He and Vera were moving to Blackpool to be nearer Tommy, their grandson.

Not that I watch it often, you understand.

I have to say that I don't watch TV anywhere near as much as I did in the UK. I am more selective, and don't even tape things if I am going to be out. I just pick it all up next time I see it. Much better than being a TV slave as I once was.

Just realised I have hi-jacked your House Post. Sorry.

Am off to set the fire now so that I can watch Corrie, then iron to Jeremy Kyle. I have to have something distracting to iron to.

Thanks for info, Pete - Alastair does all that and still no joy. I'm sure it's a ploy to stop me watching Corrie and Emmerdale!
Anyway, power stayed on today, so got to see Vera 'pass away' - on her chair - her heart gave out. I had a tear in my eye - did you, Verity? :( An end of an era. I remember it in B & W too.

Had more than a tear, Ruth. When Jack thought that the pidgeon was Vera come to say goodbye it cracked me up. My Mum had a thing about her brother coming back in the guise of a bluebird to say goodbye. And when I was grieving for her Phil and I were the only people to see the tiny humming bird in our holiday resort in Mexico.

I am seeing the funny side of this post, but it was a bit too close to home for me.

I hope Phil has bought some comfort food today.
