Afternoon all.

Tricia good on you. When I gave up smoking a few years back (unfortunately lapsed). I was at the local sports centre three times a day - 50 lengths of the pool every morning before work, an aerobics class - loved the kick boxing at lunchtime, then on the treadmill in the evening for 5 miles before going home. What did it do for me - toned up the body but didn't lose one ounce of weight.

It is cold here too - have put the gas fire and a radiator on which normally I never do but too cold not to today.

Not even a shower, the next platform in line has shut down, we cannot export through the pipe line because of that and therefore shut down production also.
This means no gas to fuel the turbines, ergo no heat or hot water inside, might go outside for a warm up

Pete who did you serve with

Trish you put me to shame i would never do all that.
I will try again friday and see.Nothing is worth feeling like that.

I have never forgiven the RAF for throwing me out of a perfectly servicable C130 Hercules just to get a little blue badge.

Had a few good nights out at Abingdon, Gutersloh and Wegberg, ring any bells

Post subject:

I know of Abingdon & Gutersloh but not Wegberg

I quite enjoy doing the body surfing out the back of a C130... bit like parachuting & absailing at the same time

Yeah we have a habit of throwing non-RAF out of planes to see if they can fly :D

Wegberg was the RAF Hospital down near Bruggen, I was in Rintln/Minden/Munster, we usually played rugby against them in the BAOR medical cup. Happy Days

Morning to all and I am feeling extremely positive today so keeping everything crossed.

I am a bit later today because I stayed up until 2.00am this morning - bidding on Ebay and pleased to say I actually got some dog clippers for £22 - not your pet ones but professional so I am chuffed. :D When they arrive I will be able to give Koo Koo a lion cut.

Hi Tricia,

There are far too many groomers here and I can only do the Bichon and Lowchen and the lion cut in a poodle is so similar thought I would give it a try.

Sorry for a late reply ,only just spotted this , My late Dad served in the RAF for 24 years , he always said , only a fool jumps out of a servicable aircraft .

A good morning to all , just getting ready for work , but like so many others needed a look at the site .

Enjoy your day.

Good morning everyone (well it is still morning here).

Have decided that this is the first day of the rest of our lives, after saying goodbye to dearest mum-in-law yesterday. We feel positive today and will only be looking forward. And the sun is shining.

So, good morning to all of us positive people. Waiting for the day when we can say good morning to some of you in person.

Hello Redgnome,

The aircraft was the good bit, before that they threw us out of a basket hanging below a large balloon 800' above the ground twice.

People ask if jumping out of an aircraft is dangerous, certainly not, it is the sudden stop when meeting the earth that causes the damage.

I know what you mean, it makes me laugh when they say on the news , a person was killed when they fell ..... NO, they were killed when they hit the ground . :?

My old man said that in the 12+ years he served in the Para's, he only landed in an aircraft twice

I quite enjoyed doing my jumps at Dekalia when I was in the RAF,, but then again, I enjoy anything extreme :D
