Does your dishwasher show a code or series of numbers on a panel on the front of it?

If it does then type into Google the make of the dishwasher and the code being displayed.

I did this and i got the reply to:

1. Switch off the dishwasher at the mains
2. Turn mains back on and switch on dishwasher but hold in the start button.

Hey presto it works fine again. Problem usually comes when they switched off your water when the machine is on - it doesn't know what to do and switches off.

Saved a few quid on not having to call an engineer out.

Stormy if your a man (which I doubt as we dont have time for these machines) then tell the wife to do it by hand>>

If your a woman, then get a grip and start washing by hand straight away as by the time you get back into the rythem of washing, drying etc it could be midnight & then the other chores will need done.

Hurry along now!!!

I hope you're hidden mate or your missus will batter you when she reads this

I would love to have a dish washer if the missus would let me get one, as I'm fed-up of my hands being soft from all those bleeding bubbles

Pete it reminds me of the story of the German Octopus with the moustache who did the dishes singing

"Hans who does dishes is as soft as yer face with mild green Hairy lipped squid"

OOHHH that was painful
