This is the church near to St Paul's pillar and hold a flower festival every year over the Greek Orthodox Easter period.

A few months ago I was asked to do a presentation on an aspect of Cyprus and chose to do the archaeological site, church and flower festival at St Paul's pillar.

Don/Pam members of PP kindly gave me permission to use their photographs of the site and church, but I need a few more photographs of the flower festival held in 2008, a long shot I know but if any member has photographs they don't mind me using I really could do with them. I did take pics myself at that time but not enough, but then again I didn't know I'd be doing this in a few weeks time.

It has taken me a couple of months preparing for this presentation for the Rural Institute and the proceeds all goes to charities here and abroad, collectively across Scotland it is a tidy sum we raise for worthy causes.

Thanks for looking in:

Jan :)

Hello Duchess, I am sure any presentation by yourself will be top notch and delivered in the correct and very professional manner we have become acustomed to with yourself.

I hope members here will be able to help and will bump every so often to rmind the able viewers, many of whom are avid photographers (but Im not sure about churchgoers, even at festivals).

I would warn however, to wear smart but comfortable clothes for the presentation as the podiums can be quite high with matching stools and we wouldnt want any wee dangling legs stunning the audience!! :giggle

Very best of luck when it comes round and can you please post the pics when the Rural Institute (womens section) does the first sitting for the nude calendar.

Hope you get some Jan. Sorry I don't have any, plenty of pictures of flowers in the garden but none of the festival.

Thanks Doug and Tricia for your comments and support

Amazing results today the church in Paphos contacted me and have sent nearly 20 photographs of the flower festival 2008 and good wishes, I was left speechless it shows how kind people can be and the trouble their prepared to go to, I'm delighted great result.

This presentation which is not a small affair occurs monthly and usually with guest speakers, some are paid and some do it voluntary, a few are well known and others local with specific knowledge of some aspect of life or a certain subject I've been working on my project for months and is now near completion.

It's a captive audience and an opportunity to promote Cyprus and what it has to offer not just as a holiday resort but but also as a place of heritage and culture, this is what I hope to portray anyway after all Paphos is a world heritage site.

Jan :)

Well done Jan, we know we can rely on you to promote the positive aspects and good news of the area in a solid professional manner.

Just dont get any nerves or jangles before it starts, you know what a little brandy does to you.

Joking aside, I am sure and confident you will be a perfect ambassador for Paphos, PP and yourself.

Great Jan, is that enough photos for you now? If not I will ask a few friends if they went and took any photos.
